FOOD SPOTLIGHT: Kesong Puti And Salakot From Cavite
This is a delicious combo you need to try.
Kesong puti in Cavite is called quesillo and you can find it in most areas in the province. Made from fresh carabao's milk, it has fresh, salty, and sweet flavors and is perfect as palaman in bread.
One of the unique breads you can find in Cavite is the salakot from Dizon's Bakery, which has been churning out pugon-baked breads since the 1930s. It's a soft bread that is shaped like a salakot. When paired with kesong puti, it makes for a delicious breakfast or snack!
