There are very few things butter cannot improve-it's even being added to coffee. Now KFC is testing the limits with their newest twist on their Hot and Crispy Fried Chicken. The Garlic Butter Fried Chicken (P99/ala carte, P109/combo, P120/combo with soup) was launched June 26.
KFC has a history of creating fried-chicken dishes you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else, and this-while tamer than their cheese-covered fried chicken or Chaco-is pretty unique, too. "We were looking for an experience that can appeal to everyone [...], and this should be an exciting and unique chicken flavor that you can't find anywhere else," shares Natalie Perez, chief marketing officer of KFC Philippines via e-mail.
This menu addition takes their crispy, spicy chicken and coats it in a rich blanket of garlic-butter sauce. The Garlic Butter Fried Chicken then gets paired with-what we're most excited for, TBH-garlic butter rice.
If you're looking for a handier snack, the Garlic Butter Fried Chicken also gets turned into a Garlic Butter Twister (P95/ala carte, P145/combo with fries and drink). This wrap has Hot Shots coated in the sauce, buttered corn, KFC's thick-cut French fries, and just the right drizzle of creamy mayonnaise.
