Kiko Pangilinan Reacts to Department of Agriculture Undersecretary's Statement
In a social media video, former senator Kiko Pangilinan reacted to a statement made by Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban.
In case you missed it, the Philippine Star reported on a statement that Usec. Panganiban made during a radio interview last September 7. When asked about the reports of oversupply of garlic in Batanes and cabbage in Benguet, Usec. Panganiban answered, "Well, ang problema nasa farmer rin dahil tanim sila nang tanim, hindi nila iniisip ang sitwasyon na mangyayari." (Well, the problem lies with the farmers also because they keep planting their crops without thinking of what's going to happen.)
After a montage of news headlines that accompanied the question and Panganiban's answer, Pangilinan could be seen looking perplexed, and says, "Ano daw?" (What?)
The Tiktok video ends with Pangilinan still looking confused while overlayed over a popular clip featuring actress Bea Alonzo's character from the 2013 movie Four Sisters And A Wedding, saying, "Pero bakit parang galit ka? Pero bakit parang kasalanan ko?" (But why do you seem angry? Why does it seem like it's my fault?)
