This Planetarium In Japan Serves A Pretty Limited-Edition Sakura Drink
Enjoy it with 360-degree views of the cherry blossoms!
If you're looking for another reason to put Japan on your travel bucket list, here's one: Konica Minolta Planetaria Tokyo, Konica Minolta Planetarium 'Manten' in Ikebukuro Sunshine City, and Konica Minolta Planetarium 'Tenku' at Tokyo Sky Tree Town now have an ongoing digital installation called the Sakura Welcome Dome.
From March until May, this installation is in a dome that lets you experience a 360-degree close-up view of giant cherry blossoms (or sakura) in full bloom. According to SoraNews24, guests are allowed to take all the pictures, videos, and selfies inside this room!
After you've taken a bunch of photos and videos for your Instagram, you can treat yourself to the limited-edition spring drink called the Sakura Berry Latte. This will be on sale at the Cafe Planetaria at the Tokyo branch. This pink drink has cream cheese to make it taste like cheesecake and it has a scent that mingles between cherry blossoms and berries.
For those who'll visit the Tenku branch, the cherry blossom installation will be available until April 11, 2021. As for the Tokyo and Manten branches, they will have the installation available until May 12, 2021.
And if you ever find yourself at the Konica Minolta Planetaria Tokyo, they recently launched limited-edition drinks that are worth-trying under the Outer Space Smells Like Raspberries line. For those who are a little confused about the name of the themed drinks, apparently, ethyl formate is the substance that gives raspberries that sweet, addicting scent, and that this very substance can also be found in outer space.
The café is offering a cocktail called Eta Carina, a mocktail called Omega, and a dessert called Milk Way Fruit Sandwich. If you want your drinks to go, they also have raspberry drinks in the café's famous Starry Bottles format, which make the drinks look like they're glowing!
