UPDATE (August 25, 2022, at 5:30 pm): Last August 22, Koomi announced that the new frozen yogurt is finally available nationwide.Â
If your definition of “treating yourself” involves indulging in Koomi’s bestselling drinks or your own customized yogurt drink order, then here’s another Koomi dessert you can try on your next “I-deserve-to-treat-myself” day: Koomi now serves Froyo (Frozen Yogurt).
Koomi’s frozen yogurt uses its signature yogurt and adds honey to it for a tinge of sweetness, then transforms its consistency into something reminiscent of soft serve or ice cream. You can enjoy it on its own, with a starting price of P115, or you can customize it!
Similar to Koomi’s yogurt drinks, you can personalize your froyo with your favorite add-ons, with an additional cost, of course. You can make it more filling and add more texture by opting to add your choice of fruits, nuts, cookies, boba, oats, or beans. You can even add a Red Velvet, ChocNut, Ube, or Matcha sauce to give it more flavor and color.
For those who don’t want to overthink what add-ons to use or combine, Koomi also has fixed froyo flavors to save you from the headache. There’s the Snowy Fuji Froyo which has mangoes, red beans, and purple rice and is topped with a crunchy sugar cone, then there’s the Waterberry Wonder Froyo which blends the frozen yogurt with strawberries and tops it with watermelon, pistachio, and strawberry bits.
Just in case you’re surprised that Koomi has frozen yogurt, this dessert was actually launched during the fourth quarter of 2021. This was offered in select branches, mostly ones that are neighboring and outside of Metro Manila (like in Baguio, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, La Union, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Zamboanga).
