You Can Now Have Korean Barbecue Delivered To Your House!
Just when you thought you've had enough Korean Barbecue, a game-changing food delivery service called Samgyup Sa Bahay delivers the Korean Barbecue experience straight to your doorstep. This makes for a more intimate Korean Barbecue experience with your family or friends-minus the long lines, crowd, and noise.
If you're planning on trying it out for the weekend, here are the things you can expect from Samgyup Sa Bahay:
Meat: pork and beef
The meat included in each set is Pork Samgyupsal and Beef Samgyupsal. You'll receive it in long strips of thicker-than-usual-KBBQ meat. These are not marinated yet, but what we recommend is slathering a good amount of the complimentary Korean Bean Paste to add more flavor.
The minimum order outside of Imus, Cavite (where Samgyup Sa Bahay's HQ is located), is the 4-people Korean Barbecue set (P1,599). Is the 500g of pork and the 500g of beef enough to feed a family of four? Based on our experience, this was more than enough! We didn't get to finish all of the meat provided, so we saved it for our next meal.
Banchan (Korean side dishes)
What's a Korean Barbecue without the side dishes? Samgyup Sa Bahay offers 6 side dishes, such as the kimchi, sweet baby potatoes, cucumber and carrot salad (tossed in vinegar and a bit of ginger), Korean egg, Korean braised tofu (braised in Korean chili powder), lettuce, and steamed rice. The standouts for us? The sweet baby potatoes which were part-firm and part-soft, and the Korean braised tofu which adds a sour and spicy flavor to your lettuce-wrapped meat!
Flavorful condiments
The common condiments like the Korean bean paste and sesame oil are included in Samgyup Sa Bahay's Korean Barbecue set. You can concoct your own dipping sauce depending on how spicy or nutty you want each bite to be! Plus, they also add a small container of garlic which you can fry to a flavorful crisp.
Grilling equipment, delivery service, and more!
Yes, Samgyup Sa Bahay provides the plates (optional), tongs, portable stove, huge smokeless grill, and two Butane cans. The delivery guy will set this up for you and will also teach you how to change the Butane can when the first can runs out of gas. What we loved about the service is that they go the extra mile by plating the banchan.
Once all of your stomachs are full, you can just message the delivery guy to come back for the equipment! You can even store the rest of the beef, pork, and side dishes if you weren't able to finish them.
Samgyup Sa Bahay's offers 2-person (P999) Korean Barbecue set, 3-person (P1,199) Korean Barbecue set, 4-person (P1,599) Korean Barbecue set, 6-person (P2,399) Korean Barbecue set, and 8-person (P2,999) Korean Barbecue set. They are currently on a soft-opening. For now, they are only delivering within Cavite and some parts of Metro Manila (additional fees apply).
