This Beloved UP Taho Vendor Now Offers His Taho For Delivery
You may recognize him if you used to frequent the College of Human Kinetics!
There are many places in Manila where you can order taho for delivery, but there's still something extra special about hearing your local magtataho walking the streets and triggering your cravings the second he hollers "taho!" Taho is also one of the most nostalgic treats out there, one that may take you back to carefree childhood summers or those long-gone college semesters. If you studied at the University of the Philippines (UP), for example, you may have gotten your taho fix from a vendor named Bon Gaufo, endearingly referred to by students as Kuya Bon. Gaufo is a taho salesman who, like many, is trying to make ends meet despite the unforgiving conditions of the pandemic and the lack of students in his usual selling vicinity. You can help Kuya Bon while also reliving your college days and satisfying your taho cravings by ordering from Kuya Bon's Taho; you can even get it delivered!
Kuya Bon's taho consists of the classic combo of soft tofu, arnibal, and sago as well as langka to top if off. You can get a pack of 450 ml for just P40 and a pack of 750 ml for P50. Besides taho, you can also order fresh tofu (P50) and fresh soya milk (P35/500 ml).
Kuya Bon would likely be most familiar to UP students who frequent or used to frequent the College of Human Kinetics, where his stall is normally located. Currently, he sells taho in front of the Commission of Human Rights's entrance (specifically the parking area) in Diliman, Quezon City. You can buy taho directly from Gaufo from Tuesdays to Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can order Kuya Bon's taho by sending a Viber message to (0975) 452-1861. He accepts payment via GCash and can deliver the taho through Grab, Lalamove, Angkas, or other courier services.
