You Have To See Ligo Sardines' Witty And Informative Social Media Posts About COVID-19!
Did you know that Ligo sardines donated their entire 2020 advertising budget for COVID-19 aid and relief? If you aren't updated with any of their COVID-19-related initiatives, they also recently partnered with Angkas to distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals with critically low supplies.
Ligo is also going the extra mile by posting witty, informative, and politically-progressive social media posts amid the pandemic affecting the whole world. Here are a few of our favorites by Ligo:
1 When the president asked for "emergency powers," they posted a photo of canned Ligo sardines highlighting the easy-to-open lids. "Our products are made with easy-open lids for your convenience," the caption says.
2 It cannot be emphasized enough how important social distancing is to help protect ourselves from getting the virus. Ligo chimes in with another social media post showing two of their flavors (sardines in tomato sauce and sardines in gata) practicing social distancing, as we all should.
3 Mass testing has not happened in the Philippines yet and there are currently a limited number of test kits available in the country. In line with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, Ligo's creative execution shows two of its spicy variants with a caption saying, "If you're feeling extra hot, self-quarantine po muna tayo for 14 days."
4 The Department of Health recently reported that a number of test kits were only 40% accurate, making it defective by default. Ligo emphasizes the importance of quality testing, highlighting the company's product testing. The caption says, " We produce thousands of cans daily, and finding a sub-standard product once in a while is not unusual. In line with this, we regularly conduct mass quality testing to reduce the risk of delivering such products to our consumers. So please be sure to inspect your Ligo Sardines for any damages before purchasing."
