These Animal-Shaped Dim Sum Buns Are Almost Too Cute To Eat

We don’t need to tell you about the delicious snack that is dim sum buns. Whether savory bites like siopao or sweet variations filled with chocolate or custard, steamed buns are a popular treat in and around Metro Manila that are always great to snack on. If you can’t get enough of these satisfying buns, we recently spotted some you won’t be able to resist: Say hello to Lucky Belly Noodle House‘s animal-shaped dim sum buns!

As with many other food spots around the Metro, Cantonese restuarant Lucky Belly Noodle House is selling ready-to-cook meals amidst the pandemic and their animal-shaped buns are just one part of the menu. You can get these cute buns shaped like pigs, pandas, or porcupines. The pig-shaped buns (P260/12 pieces) are filled with a light, creamy custard while the panda-shaped buns (P330/15 pieces) contain a rich chocolate filling. The porcupine buns (P250/12 pieces), on the other hand, have a unique taro filling inside. You can also get mini, mushroom-shaped buns (P400/20 pieces) that are filled with chocolate if you prefer bite-sized portions for sharing. We can’t choose between all the cute designs!
