Spicy fried chicken isn't exactly something new. We all love a good, crispy and bracingly hot piece of chicken just dripping with red-hot spice. Loads of fast food joints have been making it for ages, and a handful of local restaurants have already started to perfect the craft of making it.

Regardless of all the competition, we've got our eyes set on the Hot Fried Chicken by Lucky Chick, a brand new restaurant in UP Town Center from the guys that brought you The Bowery. We instantly fell head over heels for the spicy version of their house fried chicken the first time we tried it.

You can have it served to you straight up with an assortment of side dishes, or you can chow down on their red hot spicy chicken sandwich if you're feeling particularly peckish.
