It's True: Lucky Me! Pancit Canton Brought Back Their Thinner Noodles
We missed you, old friend.
Things have never been the same for some fans of Lucky Me! Pancit Canton after its "makeover" in 2016, specifically when they introduced flat, thicker noodles in a new round shape and a saucier seasoning. Someone even went as far as starting an online petition for their much-loved instant noodles! If you're one of those people who have a soft spot for the OG version of the noodles, here's some good news: Lucky Me! Pancit Canton now has thin noodles for their Kalamansi flavor. This variant is currently available in Luzon.Â
A user on Reddit already spotted the instant noodles out in the wild. Understandably, people are already asking if the thinner noodles will be available in other flavors too, to which Lucky Me! teases by replying "one surprise at a time."Â
In a Philippine Star report in 2016, Melissa Pabustan of Monde Nissin said that Lucky Me! initially meant for the thicker noodles to be an improvement in terms of size, texture, and taste.
