M Bakery, one of New York’s famous bakeries, pays tribute to one of Philippine’s well-loved local flavors with ube-flavored pastries. New on M Bakery’s menu are the Ube Cake and Ube Cupcakes, which are both exclusive to the Manila outpost.
Just like M Bakery’s signature cupcakes and banana pudding, these ube cakes and cupcakes are made with premium ingredients: homemade ube, premium butter, and vibrant purple ube flown in from Bukidnon. The ube halaya used in these desserts are all freshly made inside their bakery on a daily basis.

M Bakery’s delicate Ube Cake (P325/slice and P3250/whole cake) are made with creamy homemade halaya and buttercream in between ube-flavored cake slices. Its gorgeous gradient frosting is made by gliding the ube meringue frosting and classic buttercream with a spatula. A sprinkle of coconut flakes on top gives it a delicious texture.

Although this cake comes with a hefty price tag, a whole Ube Cake can actually serve up to 25 people. If you can’t commit to the whole cake, you can grab one of M Bakery’s Ube Cupcake (P165/piece).
M Bakery’s Ube Cake and Cupcakes are available at Lower Ground, Unit 23, 5th Avenue corner 28th Street One Bonifacio High Street Mall, BGC, Taguig.
