Fans of dainty cupcakes, Sex And The City, or both, here’s some exciting news: New York’s Magnolia Bakery is opening their first Manila outpost, with the launch of M Bakery PH tentatively set for August in Bonifacio Global City.
What we’re excited to try aside from the cupcakes: their banana pudding and buttercream-frosted cakes.
Opening their first branch in West Village, New York in 1996, Magnolia Bakery catapulted to fame arguably because of Sex And The City, with a 30-second scene of Carrie Bradshaw and Miranda Hobbes enjoying cupcakes outside of the West Village branch. Aside from their cupcakes, Magnolia Bakery is also known for their buttercream-frosted cakes and an exceptional banana pudding.
The NYC-famous bakery is known for its cupcakes.
M Bakery PH will be serving the same popular cupcakes as well as pastries from the bakery’s over 200 recipes. “We will be rotating these recipes daily so customers can expect a variety of baked goods every time they visit,” shares Stewart Ong, who’s bringing in the New York bakery to Manila, in an e-mail interview with SPOT.ph. “We’re also working on new and exclusive flavors in Manila that’ll launch at a later time.” More reasons to get excited!
M Bakery PH will open in Bonifacio Global City (exact location to follow).
