Opening their first branch in West Village, New York in 1996, Magnolia Bakery catapulted to fame arguably because of Sex And The City, with a 30-second scene of Carrie Bradshaw and Miranda Hobbes enjoying cupcakes outside of the West Village branch. Aside from their cupcakes, Magnolia Bakery is also known for their buttercream-frosted cakes and an exceptional banana pudding.
