Marks & Spencer Opens First-Ever Pop-Up Cafe In The South
There are only a number of Marks & Spencer branches in the country, specifically two: Mall of Asia in Pasay City and Central Square in Bonifacio Global City. So if you're nowhere near these establishments, Marks & Spencer has opened its first pop-up cafe for the southies at Alabang Town Center.
The pop-up cafe opened on September 21 and it will be there until October 20, 2022. So, yes, you still have time! And it's definitely worth the trip for a few things.
Here are the food we highly recommend you try at this pop-up cafe:
Strawberry and Raspberry Iced Tea (P120) and Iced Green Tea with Lemon (P100)
New fruit-infused iced teas are on the menu! The new ones that are joining the coffees and teas are these: Strawberry and Raspberry Tea (P120), Iced Blackberry & Elderberry Tea (P100), Iced Green Tea with Lemon (P100), Iced Spiced Apple Tea (P100), Luxury Gold Iced Tea (P100), Earl Grey Iced Tea (P100), and Earl Grey Iced Milk Tea (P120).
We got to try the Strawberry and Raspberry Iced Tea and the Iced Green Tea with Lemon and we found that these beverages have a very light taste to them. Compared to how iced teas are commonly served in restaurants and cafes, Marks & Spencer's teas are light on sweeteners but still very refreshing.
Chocolate Chip Cookies (P70/piece)
The pop-up has a long table counter where you can find different pastries, including muffins, doughnuts, scones, croissants, shortbread, and our favorite of them all: cookies, specifically the Chocolate Chip Cookies (P70/piece).
It doesn't happen often that something as unassuming as chocolate chip cookies can have that wow factor, but Marks & Spencer's Chocolate Chip Cookies have it. The chocolate is sweet, decadent, and melts in the mouth. It's just that good that we're willing to look past its (super) crumbly structure. We even bought more of these cookies to bring home!
Other Marks & Spencer items that are offered at the pop-up are items that are perfect to store in your pantry or for Christmas gifting. They have Marks & Spencer-branded snacks, biscuits, chips, crackers, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee, some of which are included in our recommended list of what to buy from Marks & Spencer.
Marks & Spencer's first pop-up cafe has a European garden vibe to it. It's completely al fresco if that's a concern! Drop by on or before October 20 at the ground level of Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City. Look for its neighboring establishments such as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Italianni's, and The Body Shop.
