This McDonald's And Godiva Collaboration Is What Chocolate Dreams Are Made Of
Don't these drinks look good?
Have you ever wondered what McDonald's menu is like in other countries? It's not unusual for foodie travelers to go to a different country and try McDonald's (and other fast food chains') food items that are exclusively available within that zip code. If you're daydreaming of Japan, here's something you should add to your dream food trip: McDonald's Japan's new limited-edition Godiva beverages.
McDonald's Japan collaborates with Belgian chocolatier Godiva for the very first time and they sure pulled out all the stops to deliver a chocolate fan's dream come true. Through their McCafé by Barista, they're launching a Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe and a Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe and Macaron.
According to a report by Sora News 24, the Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe is an ice-blended beverage that's made with milk, cocoa powder, and an espresso-infused dark chocolate sauce made with roasted cocoa bean cocoa mass. It's made more chocolatey with chocolate whipped cream on top and a drizzle of Belgian chocolate sauce.
On the other hand, the Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe and Macaron is basically the same drink, but with an addition of a vanilla cream macaron resting on the swirl of whipped cream. It's a small addition, but it sure makes the drink look more irresistible.
McDonald's Japan's McCafé by Barista's Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe (¥540 or P249), but if you want the Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe and Macaron, all you need to do is add ¥100 or P46. This will be available in 131 McCafé by Barista stores for a limited time only.
While traveling may seem like a far fetched dream right now because of COVID-19, we can't help but hope that the McDonald's here in the Philippines brings the same drinks or something similar to the menu, yes? Fingers crossed!
