McDonald’s Philippines To Hire 50 More PWDs and Senior Citizens In Pasay City
Hooray for giving the elderly a means of livelihood!
McDonald's Philippines and the city government of Pasay signed an agreement to hire 50 senior citizens and PWD (persons with disabilities) in 14 participating branches in Pasay City. This deal was agreed upon between Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano and Kenneth Yang, the president and CEO of Mcdonald's Philippines.
"The partnership will provide them the opportunity to earn and develop new skills as they experience the same world-class training as an order presenter, drink drawer, table manager or overall guest relations," McDonald's Philippines said.
This initiative will give the elderly an opportunity to earn and be trained through a program approved by the Public Employment Service Office of Pasay and the Department of Labor and Employment. According to a report by Business Mirror, McDonald's will likewise provide the same training to their hired employees.
