GOOD FOOD ALERT! The milk tea trend may be slowing down, but it sure isn’t going to disappear anytime soon. There are still a number of milk tea shops opening around the metro, always trying to up one another by offering something unique. One of the latest milk tea shops, inconspicuously hidden in a busy town such as Bonifacio Global City, is Brown Cafe.

Brown Cafe is located right beside Shari Shari Kakigori (a sister brand that highlights the Japanese shaved dessert) in Serenda, Bonifacio Global City. Brown Cafe is a Thai brand known for its milk tea and fruit teas but what makes it different from all other milk tea brands? They have collagen pearls.
Brown Cafe’s collagen pearls come in different flavors: Original Bubble, Strawberry Bubble, Ube Bubble, Mango Bubble, and Lychee Bubble. If you know your skincare ABCs, then you know that collagen is a famous ingredient known for its skin benefits—backed with scientific research, of course.
What we love about it
We tried two of Brown Cafe’s fruity and milky beverages, the Anchann Strawberry Latte (a mix of strawberry and ube flavors) and the Melon Niu Niu Latte. The Melon Niu Niu Latte won our hearts for its sweet, fruity, milky flavors reminiscent of melted Melona popsicles and Japanese flavored milk. You can get it in a plastic cup for P140 or a reusable clear bottle for P155.
There are milk tea fans who don’t like tapioca pearls. If you’re the type, Brown Cafe’s collagen pearls have a low calorie count, has a gelatin-like, less chewy and light texture, unlike the typical sweetened tapioca pearls. The Melon Niu Niu Latte uses rainbow pearls that have more fruity flavors.
Brown Cafe doesn’t have food items on the menu, this doesn’t leave you with much room to explore. We’re crossing our fingers that they eventually add light snacks on their menu, though!

Where to get it
Brown Cafe is in Serendra, Bonifacio Global City. There are no big neon signs that you can look for, but you’ll eventually find it right beside Shari Shari Kakigori. There aren’t any seats in Brown Cafe, but you can request a seat inside Shari Shari Kakigori.
