Sagada and Bukidnon Coffee Win International Awards In Milan, Italy
There were more than 700 participants from all over the world.

One does not need to cross borders for quality coffee. During the 5th International Contest of Locally Roasted Coffees held in Milan, Italy last October 21, local coffee brands Mirabueno Coffee and SGD Coffee were awarded by the Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products (AVPA).
AVPA is an organization composed of producers and taste enthusiasts whose goal is to enhance the value of agricultural products and recognize excellent producers. Mirabueno Coffee from Bukidnon was given the Gourmet award, while SGD Coffee from Northern Sagada, won the Bronze award.Â
In a report by GMA News, Chargé d'Affaires Mersole Mellejor of the Philippine Consul General's Office in Milan received the award on behalf of the Coffee Heritage Project. Mirabueno Coffee and SGD Coffee are both under The Coffee Heritage Project, a non-profit private intitiative which highly focuses on the quality of coffee production.Â
