Taiwan is known for its night markets and street food. There's the milk tea, stinky tofu, scallion pancakes, xiao long bao, lu wei that can keep your tummies filled without even stepping in a restaurant. And then there's the Taiwanese-style fried chicken-they're these huge, bigger-than-your-entire-hand fried chicken! One of the popular stalls you can find Taiwanese-style fried chicken in Taiwan is Monga, and now you don't have to book a flight to Taipei because they're now open in SM Megamall.

For people who love fried chicken and pizza, the Chee-Z Signature (P209/single or P229/with rice) is somewhat like a pizza, but with fried chicken replacing the pizza dough. The Chee-Z Signature is made with fried chicken breast topped with melted cheese and tomato sauce, with an option to make it spicy for those who can handle the heat!

We're not exaggerating how huge these Taiwanese-style fried chicken are, because at some point you'll need a palate cleanser in between the juicy bites. There's, of course, milk tea on the menu. The Black Dragon (P110) is Monga's own take on the brown sugar milk tea, and the Green Dragon (P110) is a matcha-based milk tea.

Charles Lee, the Marketing Director of Vikings Corporation who brought in Monga to the Philippines, recommends pairing any of the chicken dishes with the Grapefruit Green Tea (P100) or the Orange Green Tea (P100).

If you know anyone who loves big, juicy fried chicken, bring them to Monga before November 11, 2019 for their opening promo. There's a buy-one-take-one promo on their signature fried chicken, which lets you enjoy two huge fried chicken for only P199.

Monga is located at Lower Ground A, SM Megamall.
