Local Ingredients Are The Stars In This Benefit Dinner Series

This is one dinner series that will inspire you to Go Lokal! and join the farm-to-table eating experience that you can only get with farm-fresh produce and ingredients.

Mulberry Door by nawwTys Kitchen is celebrating its second anniversary this year, and instead of having a party, it is hosting a benefit dinner series called the nawwTys Gives Back Campaign. It is in collaboration with women entrepreneurs and their community-based programs to benefit organizations close to their hearts.

For the first of this dinner series, nawwTys partnered with Holy Carabao Holistic Farms, a farm which practices organic farming and wellness but also offers door-to-door delivery of their farm's organic produce and ingredients within Metro Manila. This dinner benefited SOIL or Samahan ng Organikong Industriya ng Laguna, an advocacy for local farmers

What's so great about the nawwTys and Holy Carabao collaboration is the emphasis on how elegant a farm-to-table eating experience can be. At the first of the three-dinner series held last June 26, Holy Carabao's organic produce was made into a fine dining-worthy menu. This featured dishes that included edible malunggay flowers sprinkled on a Cream of Zucchini Soup and pansit-pansitan leaves scattered over a plate of Salad Greens and Pickled Sugar Beets with Mulberry Vinaigrette.

Gorgeous local vegetables and microgreens and even a native black big from the farm were further showcased in the Pinakbet Paella and Eggplant Chimichurri served with the Oven-Roasted Cochinillo and the Aubergine Roll with Lemon Crab Meat main dishes.

From organic edible greens and vegetables to freshly-made malunggay pesto and pre-made salad bowls made in the farm's kitchen, Holy Carabao is a great example of the farm-to-table eating experience.

The next benefit dinner in August will showcase pasture-raised chickens and other livestock ingredients from Backyard Farms to benefit the Best Buddies Philippines, an organization which creates opportunities for those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. October, meanwhile, will host the last of three-dinner series which will not only showcase the textiles created by those in GREAT Women Stock Purchase Fund for Weavers but will also benefit them with a fashion show alongside the dinner. This dinner, unlike the previous dinners held before it, will feature both Holy Carabao and Backyard Farms produce and livestock ingredients.

With such large hearts trying to help uplift our local community programs, this dinner series campaign is sure to encourage you to patronize the local farmers under Holy Carabao and Backyard Farms by ordering their organic produce and ingredients which can be delivered right to your door.

Each seat at the dinner series is priced at P7,000 per head. For more details on nawwTys Gives Back Campaign and to reserve your seat for the 5-Course Dinner with Wine Series at Mulberry Door by nawwTy's Kitchen, send a text to (0918) 998-7474 or email nawwtygivesback
