This Supermarket Has Instant Oat Latte and Instant Almond Latte

Have you noticed more and more coffee shops have started offering plant-based milk since the pandemic? It's not even just the coffee franchises that offer it, even the smaller-scale local coffee shops offer plant-based milk alternatives too! For an additional fee, you can switch from dairy milk to plant-based milk, more commonly these are soy milk, oat milk, coconut milk, and almond milk.

If you prefer your coffee with plant-based milk, we found two instant versions you can try: Nescafé Gold Oat Latte and Nesafé Gold Almond Latte, both of which are available at the newly-opened Landers Superstore at U.P. Town Center.

The new Landers Superstore branch has tooooons (we're not exaggerating!) of coffee items, and the two vegan-friendly Nescafé Gold are items we haven't seen in other supermarkets. A box is P299.95 and contains six sachets each.

Instant coffee is pretty simple, and the Nescafé Gold Oat Latte and Almond Latte are no exceptions. These are best prepared by mixing the contents of the sachet with 200ml of hot water (not boiling water!). After trying both, we do not recommend adding more than the recommended amount of water as it goes bland.

The words printed on the packaging are mostly Spanish, Portuguese, and Greek, but don't worry as it's easy to distinguish which one is the Almond Latte (green packaging) and which is the Oat Latte (brown packaging). Based on the packaging, there's also a Coconut Latte flavor but this was not available when we purchased the Almond Latte and Oat Latte.
