No-Bake Dessert To Try this Weekend: Dark Chocolate Truffles
Who would've thought these decadent dark chocolate balls would be so easy to make?
Did you know that you only need three ingredients to make decadent truffles? The best part about it is that it doesn't require any baking (but it does require refrigeration for atleast 2 hours)!
Makes around 10-12 truffles
1 cup dark chocolate, finely chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons cocoa powder, for dusting
1 In a small saucepan, scald the cream over medium heat.
2 Pour in the chopped chocolate, making sure than it is evenly covered or coated with the hot cream.
3 Let rest for 5-7 minutes, then gently mix together until well-combined.
4 Place in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, making sure than the wrap is placed directly on the surface of the chocolate and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
5 Using a spoon or a melon baller, scoop out the truffles and form into a round ball, around 1 inch in diameter.
6 Roll in cocoa powder and serve. If not serving immediately, keep them in the refrigerator.
TIP: Heavy cream is available in most supermarkets.
