Japanese curry isn't anywhere near as spicy as Indian or Thai curry, as the Japanese don't use as many spices in the thick, sweet, and umami-packed sauce. As with most curries, the Japanese version pairs well with white rice, but it can also be added to ramen, too.

All you have to do is to boil 400mL of water and add the noodles, soup powder, and vegetable flakes, then let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes. The soup turns out as thick and the taste is akin to Japanese curry but is a tad more spicy.

If you have quick-melting cheese in your refrigerator, you can add this on top while the curry ramen is still steaming. This will help to mellow down the heat of the broth, plus it makes it extra tasty and extra rich. For those who are fans of the anthology TV series called Midnight Diner (available on Netflix), they actually have an episode where one of the characters add a bowl of rice on the side. It's worth watching while you're slurping on your instant curry ramen.
