Yay Or Nay: Pizza Hut Launches NEW Pinoy-Style Carbonara Pizza
Here's some fresh-out-of-the-oven news for all pizza fans out there: Pizza Hut just launched three new pizzas, namely the Carbonara Supreme, the BBQ Chicken Supreme, and the Spicy Pepperoni Lovers.
Yummy.ph got to try all three new Pizza Hut pizza flavors and here's what we thought of them:
Pizza Hut's NEW Carbonara Supreme: Yay
Instead of the usual tomato and cheese topping, Pizza Hut made their Carbonara Supreme by topping it with carbonara sauce and melted mozzarella. Just like the well-loved Pinoy-style carbonara, the pizza is made meatier with bits of holiday ham, mushroom, and bacon, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and parsley are added too.
To our surprise, the thick layer of carbonara sauce and mozzarella work perfectly together, the sauce that actually does taste like carbonara is perfect with the slight saltiness of the mozzarella. The slices of ham and bacon bits servings are generous, too!
The Carbonara Supreme is available as a 9-inch pizza (price starts at P389) and a 12-inch pizza (price starts P589). You can upgrade it to Cheese-Stuffed Crust Pizza, Ultimate Cheesy Bites, and Sausage-Stuffed Crust Pizza.
Pizza Hut's NEWÂ BBQ Chicken Supreme: Yay
The BBQ Chicken Supreme is another YAY in our book. This pizza has melted mozzarella and a sweet-tangy barbecue sauce, also barbecue sauce-coated chunks of chicken, mushroom, red onion, and parsley.
Among the three new pizzas, the BBQ Chicken Supreme has the best flavor combination: it's salty, sweet, and a little bit tangy all at the same time. The only downside to it is that the chicken chunks, at least for the batch we tried, are overcooked which may be coincidental.
The BBQÂ Supreme is available as a 9-inch pizza (price starts at P359) and a 12-inch pizza (price starts at P559). You can upgrade it to Cheese-Stuffed Crust Pizza, Ultimate Cheesy Bites, and Sausage-Stuffed Crust Pizza.
Pizza Hut's NEWÂ Spicy Pepperoni Lovers: Just Okay
If you have a thing for spicy food, then you should give Pizza Hut's Spicy Pepperoni Lovers a chance. It's topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, chili flakes, and pepperoni that covers the entire surface of the pizza, except for the crust.
We recommend Pizza Hut's Spicy Pepperoni Lovers for people who don't mind the saltiness and spiciness of pepperoni, multiplied by three. Because it is certain that you'll get pepperoni for each bite of this pizza.
The BBQÂ Supreme is available as a 9-inch pizza (price starts at P329) and a 12-inch pizza (price starts at P519). You can upgrade it to Cheese-Stuffed Crust Pizza, Ultimate Cheesy Bites, and Sausage-Stuffed Crust Pizza.
