DA Expands List of Basic Goods Under The Price Freeze
This includes galunggong, chicken, pork, and rice.
The Department of Agriculture (DA) announced in a memorandum dated April 13, 2020 that expands the list of items under the price freeze. The list now also includes, among other commonly bought grocery items, imported, local, and National Food Authority (NFA) rice, local round scad or galunggong, pork liempo, medium-sized chicken eggs, and cooking oil.
"The expansion of the list forms part of our continuing efforts to ensure availability of basic commodities at reasonable prices in Metro Manila and other urban markets nationwide," Agriculture Secretary William Dar said.
