These Ready-To-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies Are Made With Pili Nuts

A classic dessert meets a delicious Filipino delicacy!

Chocolate chip cookies are one of those desserts that, while they can be enjoyed in their classic form, are also open to all kinds of unique interpretations from ultra-chunky cookies to funfetti cookies to peppermint cookies, just to name a few. If you're looking for a treat that gives the world-famous dessert a Filipino twist, check out Que Rica's Pili Chocolate Chip Cookies!


Though nuts in chocolate chip cookies are no new thing, the use of Pili nuts in this case, give the warm, buttery cookie base and chocolate chunks a comforting local flavor. These nuts are a particularly popular snack in Bicol, so if you've ever taken a trip to the region or are originally from there, these munchies may just remind you of your last visit. Pili nuts are known for their light flavor, reminiscent of sunflower seeds. When roasted, they take on a slightly chewier texture, creating a melt-in-your-mouth feel.

You can get these Pili Chocolate Chip Cookies in a frozen pack of 12 pieces. That way, you can bake them up right in your home and enjoy them straight of the oven, still warm and gooey.
