We’re sure you’ve already got your favorite ramen from Ramen Nagi by now. Maybe it’s the basic-but-always-satisfying Butao King, the bold and garlicky Black King, the fiery ol’ Red King, or the herby-cheesy Green King.

Yup, there’s something for everyone from their short-but-sweet regular lineup, but it’s always worth looking forward to their Limited Kings a.k.a. their special ramen flavors that are added to their menu once in a while, and (as the name implies) are available only for a limited time! This February, they have got one new and one returning Limited Kings that are definitely not to be missed, and one of them features succulent slices of duck breast.

Ramen Nagi’s Soy Duck King (P620) is a real hearty number that goes for an umami-rich, poultry-forward profile. It features slices of duck breast that’s pan-seared just until the skin side develops a golden-brown hue and a subtle char while retaining a juicy pink interior that makes for tender, buttery bites.

Bok choy and leeks add an earthy crunch and zestiness for balance, while the flavors of soy sauce and Nagi’s special spice breathe feistiness into this ramen’s rich, soothing chicken soup base. The resulting ramen brings to mind the roast-duck noodle soups you can often find at Chinese restaurants but with the decadence turned up several notches. Add to that their thin and al dente ramen noodles, and you get a real star bowl you’re more than welcome to slurp and finish every last drop of. We’re hooked.

And if you remember Ramen Nagi’s Oyster King (P620) that was first introduced in 2017, you’ll be happy to know that it’s back on the menu for a limited time! Here, it’s all about pan-seared fresh oysters that are slightly smoky in flavor yet plump and succulent within. (Oysters, ICYDK, are thought to be an aphrodisiac, and it’s Valentine’s season, just saying.) A ball of minced pork and oysters adds meatiness to this comfort-inducing bowl, along with slices of chashu, kikurage, leeks, and Ramen Nagi’s fire sauce in an oyster-infused tonkotsu broth.
