We all know Rebisco as one of the most popular local brands when it comes to biscuits-how can anyone forget about Rebisco's Cracker Sandwiches?
But did you know the name "Rebisco" is actually an acronym for the company's real, much longer name? Rebisco stands for Republic Biscuit Corporation (Re-Bis-Co).
Before the Republic Biscuit Corporation got its name, it started out as the England Biscuit Factory way back in 1963, the name inspired by the English-type rotary oven in their bakeshop. When they produced Crema (the first cream sandwich) and Sodatine (plain crackers), the England Biscuit Factory slowly gained popularity and by 1972, they changed their brand to Rebisco.
Since then, Rebisco has come a long way from solely being known for its Cream-Filled Cracker Sandwiches (what was your favorite flavor?). The Republic Biscuit Corporation has widened its selection of snacks with Hansel crackers, Fudgee Bar, Choco Mucho, Funky, Ding Dong, and Judge to their ever-growing snack selection.
