This Hidden Villa + Restaurant In Tanay, Rizal Offers A View Of A Sea Of Clouds
If it's not too windy, you can dine while being surrounded by a sea of clouds.
Are you planning a quick break from Metro Manila? We found a hidden bed and breakfast in Tanay, Rizal that offers a stunning view of nature and a sea of clouds. Add this to your Rizal itinerary: Ricardo's Vista del Cielo.
Ricardo's Vista del Cielo roughly translates to "Ricardo's view of the sky." If the weather isn't too windy, you can enjoy a meal and a cup of coffee on their balcony and be surrounded by a sea of clouds. On the other hand, if it's too cold, you can stay in their homey, cabin-like main dining area.
The B&B's signature dish is the Caldo Gallego, a hearty bean soup originating from Spain. They adjusted it to fit the Filipino palate by removing the white beans and adding Chorizo de Bilbao. Of course, they also have Filipino classics on their menu like sisig, pinakbet, and the perfect dish for Tanay's colder weather: bulalo.
And if you want to stay for the night, they also have rooms you can rent! Their rooms have simple interiors with a lot of gorgeous wooden furniture, plus, some of the rooms even offer a great view. Although walk-ins are possible at Ricardo's Vista del Cielo's restaurant, you will need to make advance reservations to rent the rooms.
According to PokLee Cooking's interview with Ricardo's Vista del Cielo, the owners of Ricardo's Vista del Cielo have been offering their space and their homecooked dishes to their friends for 17 years. These friends urged the owners to open it to the public, which is the reason why you now can dine and rest in this hidden gem surrounded by nature.
Ricardo's Vista del Cielo is located along Marcos Highway, Mayagay 1, Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal.
For more information and room reservations, you can send Ricardo's Vista del Cielo a message on Facebook.
