Here's A Guilt-Free Way To Satisfy Your Taho Cravings
Taho-flavored chia pudding will be your new fave merienda!
There are few things as comforting as a fresh cup of taho: warm, sweet, and light; perfectly balanced thanks to the softness of the soy and the chewiness of the sago; all held togther by the syrupy arnibal. Not only does taho taste great, but eating it feels like being transported back to your childhood-the taste of lazy mornings at home or afternoons spent playing outside. If you're craving taho, there are many places around the Metro that deliver it, but we also found an option for those who are trying to stick to a healthy diet: local food brand Ruby Kiss makes taho-flavored chia pudding, which is a nutritious take on the classic Pinoy treat!
Ruby Kiss' taho-chia pudding is a more nutritious alternative to classic taho that contains healthier ingredients, but boasts a similar taste. It's made primarily with chia seeds, a nourishing ingredient packed with omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, fiber, iron, and calcium. Plus, chia seeds have a chewy texture similar to sago. You'll barely be able to tell the difference!
Unlike regular taho, you can have this pudding mix as an entire meal on its own, so if you've ever wanted to have taho for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all of the above, now's your chance! The fiber-packed recipe will keep you full for long periods, so it'll help you from excessively snacking throughout the day.
The taho-chia pudding is soy-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free, which makes it a great option if you tend to have unpleasant reactions to those common allergens. You can get a 12-ounce jar for P280 if you'd like just a single serving or you can order an entire quart (about 32 fluid ounces) for P550 if you want everyone in your household to try this healthy breakfast option. Note that the pudding needs to be refrigerated immediately and should be consumed within seven days. We have a feeling you'll get through the entire jar in no time!
You can order Ruby Kiss' chia puddings through their Instagram page for P280 for 12 oz or P550 for one quart.
