This Fundraising Vietnamese Dinner Will Help The Filipino Fishermen
Good food for a good cause!
"Philippines. Vietnam. Friends." These three words brought hope to the 22 Filipino fishermen who were struggling to stay afloat in the dead of night in the West Philippine Sea after a Chinese vessel reportedly rammed into the Filipino fishermen's boat last June 10. Vietnamese fishermen came to their rescue and offered them food.
Salamat Pho, a witty and smart take on the Filipino phrase: "Salamat Po" and the Vietnamese dish: Pho, is a fundraising Vietnamese dinner to help the Filipino fishermen that were affected by this unfortunate situation.
Salamat Pho is set to happen this July 12, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ba Noi's Restaurant in Legaspi Village, Makati City. A minimum donation of P500 per person will ensure one bowl of Pho. For those that aren't familiar with Vietnam's famous dish, Pho (pronounced as fuh!) is a Vietnamese soup with a type of meat, noodles, and different vegetables and spices that make this soup flavorful and fragrant.
Good food for a good cause? What more can you ask for! Not to mention, now that we're officially experiencing the rainy season, you should grab any opportunity to enjoy a bowl of warm, comforting soup-especially ones that are for the greater good.
