San Miguel To Donate P150-M Poultry Products To COVID-19-hit Communities

These communities are located where the company has its factories.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) will be donating a total of P150-million worth of poultry products to the poor communities hit by the coronavirus.

According to a GMA News report, San Miguel will be donating poultry products to the poor communities where the company operates. The company brands that carry poultry products include Magnolia, Monterey, and Purefoods which have branches located around the country.

SMC president and chief operating officer Ramon Ang said in the statement, “By helping our LGUS (local government units) and partner non-profit and charitable organizations bring food to those who need it, we hope that the most vulnerable families will have one less thing to worry about, especially since we are all mandated to stay in our homes.”

The company’s total food donations now amount to over P390 million, bringing up the company’s total donation to over P1 billion since the enhanced community quarantine was declared last March 16
