These little guys are impressive: while they look like harmless micro dinosaur eggs (really—look closely!), chia seeds are power-packed with nutrients. According to nutritionist Kris Gunnars, they contain good amounts of fiber, protein, Omega-3s, zinc, potassium, and antioxidants. They are easy to digest, too!

Mix chia seeds with milk and maple syrup and let it set overnight for a delicious breakfast chia pudding, or mix a few teaspoons into your overnight oats to make it extra thick and extra nutritious.

Most S&R Membership Shopping branches have chia seeds—look for the Nutiva brand, usually in 12-ounce bags. The price tag may seem large to you at first, but this bag will last you a very long time. You can also buy chia seeds in specialty stores like Real Food in Alabang, Ritual in Makati, or any Healthy Options or ECHOstore branch. Several online shops hold them, too: Marketa.phThe Superfood Grocer, and Lococo.ph—and thanks to them, you can have your chia seeds delivered to you doorstep!
