Add To Grocery Cart: This Supermarket Has Their Own Roast Chicken And Pork Belly
Whole roasted chicken sold in supermarkets is a common thing. S&R Membership Shopping has it, Landers Superstore has it too, and, just in case you didn't know, Shopwise stores also have their own Roasted Whole Chicken BBQ, plus Pork Belly too!
If you're used to the sweet-salty marinade of roast chicken (just like the ones from S&R) or pork belly, Shopwise's versions are different as it's plain savory, with no, zero, nada sweetness at all. This will remind you of soy sauce-marinated chicken and soy sauce-marinated liempo that are cooked using a flame rotisserie to add a delicious roast, smoky flavor.
Even if Shopwise's roasted chicken and pork belly taste a little different from the usual, one thing remains the same: get rice, lots of it! And if you want a dip, you can serve the chicken with a side of your favorite ketchup and the pork belly with spiced vinegar.
