This Is The Guilt-Free Sisig You Need Right Now
This is a healthier version of sizzling pork sisig.
Sisig is one Pinoy¬†dish that many of us crave and love. You¬†already know about¬†cheesy sisig party trays,¬†but did you know that there's a less oily version of¬†sisig?
Baked Sisig is exactly that. This pork sisig¬†is a version that is baked, not fried, so there's no extra oil or fat added or absorbed by the pork that might make your batok ache or make you dizzy after indulging. All you'll experience is a full tummy for this classic pork made more guilt-free.¬† ¬†
There are two kinds of baked sisig that you can order:¬†the classic Sizzling Sisig a la Carte¬†(P250) served on a banana leaf or, for a¬†complete meal, the Baked Sisig (P300) that's layered on top of steamed Japanese rice that's similar to the sushi bake trend that's so popular!¬†¬†
To prove that this sisig is the better-for-you version, this sisig is free from preservatives, MSG, and¬†extenders. All it's made from is traditional sisig ingredients: pork masakara, chicken liver, fresh onions, calamansi, garlic, and chilis.¬†¬†
If you're still feeling up for dessert, try their classic Thai mango sticky rice (P90) that's doused in a sweetened coconut sauce and topped with Philippine mangoes. It's a refreshing and delicious ending that makes this the perfect complement to the meaty sisig.
