Mark Your Calendars: Sofitel's Spiral Buffet Is Set To Reopen Amidst Quarantine
Spiral is set to reopen in early October.
The Coronavirus pandemic has greatly affected industries all over the country and all over the world, the food industry being just one of them. Political and economic restrictions that took place between March and September of this year have made it difficult for restaurants, small businesses, and agriculture workers to maintain their livelihood.
However, as the months have gone by and quarantine rulings have changed, we've seen a shift in policies from allowing dine-in services (in limited capacities) to aiding the agriculture sector that have allowed local businesses continue to operate despite the current conditions. Once such establishment that's been able to keep its lights on is luxury resort Sofitel Philippine Plaza's Spiral Buffet, who just announced that they will be reopening on October 2.
Spiral, along with other buffets, restaurants, and activity centers around the Metro, closed their doors on March 16 in line with the original declaration of Enhanced Community Quarantine. The buffet's reopening was teased by the restaurant's Facebook page in June when the Capital Region was first placed under General Community Quarantine. Now, the date is finally set and diners will be able to see the 14-year old buffet up and running once again.
Spiral will be open during the first three weekends of October:
- Thursday dinner
- Friday lunch and dinner
- Saturday lunch and dinner
- Sunday brunch
Rates are set at P2,850 for lunch, P3,500 for dinner, and P4,350 for brunch.
Spiral first opened in 2006 and has since been known for its extensive buffet selection of over 350 international dishes as well as its expansive, lavishly designed interiors.
Spiral is at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel, CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. If you plan on dining in at the buffet once it reopens, be sure to practice proper hygiene and social distancing protocols and to follow the restaurant's safety regulations while you're there. Don't forget to disinfect yourself once you arrive home!
