Read her tips on how to make any meal a healthy one, plus worthy advice on how to approach a leg of crispy pata on the dinner table.

"Make your food more flavorful with dried herbs, not salt." Think twice before reaching for the salt shaker if you have dried thyme, rosemary, and oregano in your pantry. They can easily upgrade your roast chicken and veggies!

"Use a non-stick pan when cooking so that you don't have to add oil." One knob of butter and a light drizzle of olive oil will do!

 

Cook with superfoods! Solenn's favorites? Cauliflower, cinnamon, avocado, quinoa, and bok choy, among others.

 

"Eat a rainbow!" Cook with color and make sure you have plenty of fruit and veggies in your cooking. "Clean eating is not about depriving yourself, it's about choosing which foods are good for you."

  Eating out is inevitable-and when it comes to cheat meals, Solenn advises to "savor a few bites" so that your cravings curb. "I love crispy pata, but whenever I eat it, I won't have an entire leg."

"Fake" Rice Recipe

 

1 cauliflower bouquet

Olive oil

1/2 white onion, chopped

1 big slice of ham, chopped into squares

Frozen green peas (optional)

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Garlic chili paste, to taste

1/2 carrot, diced

2 eggs

Salt and pepper, to taste

 Chop the cauliflower and toss in ablender or food processor. Don't forget to remove the stem!

 Pulse the blender or processor until the cauliflower is broken down into rice-like granules. Do not over-process.

 Saute the onion in olive oil in a pan or wok. Add the ham.

 Add the cauliflower and saute.

 Toss in frozen peas.

 Season with soy sauce and garlic chili paste.

 Add carrots, then mix.

 Transfer to a plate.

 Beat the eggs. Add salt and pepper, then cook.

 Cut the eggs into thin strips and put on top of the cauliflower "rice."
