These Gender Reveal Cakes Honor Every Color Of The Rainbow
Sonja's Cakes and LoveYourself Foundation recently celebrated National Coming Out Day together, launching a new line of cakes fit for the celebration and their campaign "My 2nd First Birthday". Adding to the basic line of cisgender male and female cakes, now there's a gender reveal cake that adults can have made to add panache to the day they embrace their truths.
Coming out stories are different for everybody. Some are lucky, some are not. It may not even be for everybody. For everyone who decides to come out though, the day-or multiple days that they do, marks a new beginning. It's a day they decide to fully love themselves; it's a day of triumph. For every celebratory win, one things can't be missed: cake!
In the words of Sonja Ocampo, both Sonja's Cakeshop and Sonja's Cupcakes owner and founder, "we try sometimes to hide that part of ourselves but we forget that that's what makes us unique is just about celebrating that one and fully accepting who we are and being proud of it." In line with this belief, the cake designs are not meant to be fixed in stone. You can freely mix and match designs, choose your flag, change up the flavor, get more extravagant with your internal layers. When requesting for your final, personalized cake, these cakes can be your starting point to find the cake that reflects you exactly.
Both "O-Gay Cake", and "Lesbi Honest Cake" are coated in white marshmallow fluff. Slicing into the cake however, reveals a much more colorful story with their layers of light, multicolored chiffon. O-Gay Cake particularly has a center of chocolate nibbles.
The next three cakes, "Bi The Way Cake", "Transtastic Cake", and "Queerly Beloved Cake" on the other hand are both colorful outside and inside. Colorful layers of vanilla pound cake is decorated with vibrantly colored vanilla buttercream.
