There’s no question that Filipinos love their meat. In fact, a lot of the Philippines’ most popular dishes are purely protein, like crispy pata and lechon. They’re so loved here that a party isn’t complete without either of them. Recently, online food encyclopedia Taste Atlas counted the two dishes among the World’s Top 100 Dishes for 2019.

This recipes makes use of a turbo broiler, cutting cooking time to less than two hours.

Make sure to dry the pork thoroughly after boiling-this is the secret to achieving that crisp skin!

Along with crispy pata and lechon, kare-kare was also nominated as one of the world’s best dishes in 2019. All-time favorites like sushi, mac and cheese, Peking duck, and xiao long bao, are also on the list.
