Many restaurants are opening in the Alabang area, from Molito, Westgate, and "Town," as what the south folks call it. The latest restaurant to soon-to-open in this area, aside from the newly-opened Hong Kong restaurant chain, hails from Singapore. Tiong Bahru and its Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice are making its way to Alabang Town Center!

According to the Michelin website, this special award is given specifically to restaurants that offer delicious food at a reasonable price. This is what was awarded to Tiong Bahru's Hainanese Boneless Chicken back in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and most recently, 2022.

And they weren't kidding when they say it's bang for your buck. The Hainanese Chicken Rice (single serving) costs P295 and they have a roasted version, as opposed to poached, for the same price! They also have good-for-sharing Hainanese Chicken platters (without rice) priced at P540/half and P980/whole and are also available as roasted.

They have five other branches in Metro Manila. According to their website, these are located at MET Live in Pasay City, Easton Place Condominium in Makati City, USHIO IV Building in Quezon City, Uptown Mall in Taguig City, and Estancia in Pasig City. The soon-to-open branch in Alabang Town Center will be the first to specifically cater to the crowd in the south.

Tiong Bahru's Alabang Town Center branch is opening right beside Yabu-the same lane as Recipes and Cibo, too. As of publishing, there's no specific date as to when it will open its doors-but rest assured you'll hear it from us once they open!
