Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory's First-Ever Restaurant: Menu + Recommendations!

The souffle pancake is a must!

We all know Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory to be the place to go to for cheese crackers, decadent cheesecakes, and creamy soft serve ice cream. But just in case you missed it, Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory recently opened its first-ever restaurant in the world and it's located here in the Philippines. 

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory Savory + Sweet serves dishes that are a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine. According to chefs Chloe Lao and Dan Rosales, the dishes have a Yoshoku-style of cooking, where European and American dishes are" Japan-ized". Here are some of the dishes they serve plus some must-try recommendations:

Appetizers, Soups, and Salads:

While waiting for your food, you can snack on House Potato Chips (P180), Chicken Karaage (P295), or the Sweet Corn Tempura (P260). There are also hearty soups on the menu, like the Forest Mushroom Soup (P230) and the Sweet Corn Potage (P230), made with roasted corn, garlic croutons, and parsley.

If you want something light, there's the classic Caesar Salad (P370), Crispy Kani Salad (P360) which has Kani Fries and Edamame, and the Tori Sesame Salad (P415) that is made with pan-seared chicken, mangoes, pickled red cabbage, and a miso-sesame dressing.

Don't miss out on the Sweet Corn Tempura! How can something as simple as sweet corn, covered in a tasty tempura batter be oh-so-irresistible? The tangy and garlicky truffle mayonnaise that goes with it sure does complement the sweetness of the Sweet Corn Tempura. Yes, it's a lot of flavors in one bite, but who's complaining?

Pasta and Sandwiches:

For the pasta selection, there's the Gyu Bolognese (P380) a tomato-based pasta with beef and pork ragu; Ebiko Carbonara (P345) that has a soft-boiled egg and bacon; Baked Three Cheese and Tomato (P399), which is made with tomato cream, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, and basil Panko; and the Ebi Aglio Olio (P360). If you like spicy food, go for the Ebi Aglio Olio as it's topped with garlic, chili flakes, olive oil, parsley, and Katsuobushi flakes (also known as bonito flakes).

The different sandwiches on the menu include the TMC Tamago Sliders (P335), composed of brioche buns, tamago, asiago cheese, truffle mayonnaise; the 12-Hour Short Rib Sandwich (P485), made with tender pulled beef ribs, parsley aioli, and pickled red cabbage on sourdough loaf; the Shrimp Katsu Sando (P390), which is made with milk bread, cabbage slaw, and tartar sauce; the Molten Mozzarella Hamburg (P440), brioche sliders with hamburger sauce, romaine, tomato, and beef blend; and the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Jam (P325) that's basically asiago cheese and fresh basil over sourdough.

Go for the 12-Hour Short Rib Sandwich! The explosion of flavors just from a single bite from this sandwich will make you want to grab a second, third, tenth bite until it's all gone. 

Omurice and Main Meals:

For the uninitiated, omurice is a combination of omelette and rice. Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory + Sweet's omurice meals have a tomato rice pilaf as its foundation, your choice of topping, and a creamy scrambled egg on top. Choose from the different toppings like Chicken Tomato (P315), Chicken Cheese (P350), and the Hayashi Beef (P395).

The mains include the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki (P360) over rice pilaf and red beans; Pork Mille-Feuille Furai (P390) which has layers of mozzarella cheese, truffled mash, tomato sauce, and fresh basil; the Molten Hamburg (P380), which is a hamburger stuffed with mozzarella, slathered with Hayashi sauce, and has pilaf rice; and the Salmon Teriyaki Gratin (P48) which includes truffled mash, cured salmon, mozzarella cheese, and teriyaki sauce.

We strongly recommend the Chicken Cheese Omurice. Who doesn't love chicken, cheese, and rice with mellow and light flavors? But if you're not accustomed to light flavors, you should go for the Hayashi Beef or the Pork Mille-Feuille Furai.

Pancakes and waffles:

Souffle pancakes will be one of the biggest trends this year, and if you want to know what the hype is about, try the cafe's jiggly Japanese souffle pancakes. If trying out the souffle pancakes is in your priority list, then make sure you leave space for it and be prepared to wait 30 minutes for it to be prepared.

The Japanese pancakes are available in different flavors. There's the Plain Pancake (P210); Creme Brulee Pancake (P265), which has a sweet and salty vanilla Anglaise and then torched sugar; Chocolate Pancake (P265), that has chocolate ganache and cocoa powder; and the Summer Berry Pancake (P315), that has a mixed berry compote made from raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries.

If your sweet tooth isn't satisfied, there are waffles, too. You can choose from the Classic Waffle (P210), Cheese Waffle (P265), and the Summer Berry Waffle (P265), which is basically a waffle version of the Summer Berry Pancake. Caramel Banana Waffles (P240) are also on the menu, and are topped with caramelized banana and caramel tuile. 

The Classic Pancakes are a must-try. These jiggly, soft souffle pancakes are almost like a moist, creamy version of a sponge cake. It is simple, mildly sweet, and slowly melts in the mouth. It's served with maple syrup with cinnamon, plus Fresh Nama Cream that makes it even more indulgent.

Desserts from the Cow Cow Kitchen:

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory's soft serve ice cream and cookies are also available here! If you still have enough space for more dessert, go for the milk pie, a croissant-like pastry with sweet and milky cream inside. This is a pastry that can be found in select Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory stalls in Japan, and if you've tried it there, you'll be glad to know they have achieved the same quality and taste like the milk pies sold in Japan.


The refreshments range from coffee (hot and iced), Maple and Chocolate milkshakes (P230 each), iced tea, brewed tea, and the Cheese Drink, a fruit slush with cheese cream and topped with whipped dairy cream. The Cheese Drink is available in Mango Cheese Drink (P210), Tropical Chizu (P210), and Strawberry Chizu (P210).

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory Sweet + is located at G/F Central Garden Ring Area, Ayala Malls Manila Bay. On weekends, the restaurant is often full, but thankfully, reservations are allowed. Contact 7373-5451 for reservations.
