We'll never get tired of saying that ube and cheese are food soulmates. They're meant for each other in whatever form they take, whether that may be hopia, cheese rolls, ice cream, cupcakes, cassava cake, puto, or pancake. Even a plain ol' pandesal are given these vibrant flavors and you can find it at Bungalow Cafe & Bakery.

Bungalow Cafe & Bakery is one of the emerging spots in the south for good food (it's located in Molito Lifestyle Center!). They have a wide selection for pastries, but one of the more current additions to their pastry selection is the Ube Cheese Pandesal (P35 each).

It's served warm, so when you bite into it, the cheese is melted inside.

If you love this flavor combination as much as we do, then you'll love that the bread of the Ube Cheese Pandesal actually tastes like sweet ube and that inside these small buns is melted white cheddar. The bread is extra soft, almost like biting into clouds.

It's a little pricey for a piece of special pandesal, but you don't need to buy a dozen. The Ube Cheese Pandesal is actually a moist, dense bread that makes for a filling merienda or snack. You can't go wrong with pairing it with a cup of coffee, too!

A favorite from the coffee menu is the Vietnamese Coffee.

Bungalow's Ube Cheese Pandesals are available every day, but like Bungalow's sought-after doughnuts, these pastries can easily be wiped out from the counter by hungry customers as early as lunchtime. So it's best to drop by during breakfast or lunch if you want to try these for yourself.
