Looking for vegetarian options?

According to the Vegetarian Society, a vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat, poultry, fish, seafood, insects, gelatine (or animal rennet), and stock or fat from animals. What can be included in this diet are vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds, eggs, honey, and dairy products.

But what a lot of people do not know about being a vegetarian is that this is actually an umbrella term that can be broken down into different kinds of vegetarian diets, depending on which food you choose to avoid eating. The most common types of vegetarians are the lacto-ovo vegetarians and vegans.

Lacto-ovo vegetarians are those who avoid animal meat but consume dairy and egg products, while vegans are known to be a stricter kind of vegetarianism (if not, the strictest) wherein animal meat and animal by-products such as eggs, honey, and dairy products like milk, cheese, and butter, are avoided.
