Landers Pasig Branch Is Temporarily Closed For Social Distancing Violations
The temporary closure starts from July 21 and ends on July 27, 2020.
Pasig mayor Vico Sotto announced the temporary suspension of operations of the Landers Superstore Ugong branch for the failure of maintaining social distancing. This is part of the "General Work and Health Guidelines" found in Section 2 of the Executive Order PCG-25.
In the mayor's post, he says, "usually when we suspend businesses for this reason, we don't announce the name. We don't want them to have bad publicity; we just want their customers to be safe." He adds, "But this is a big business, so you will probably hear about it anyway."
The post accompanied photo documentation, one of which shows customers grocery shopping within close proximity of each other. The photo dates back to July 19 and is part of a three-part consecutive inspection done at the Landers Ugong branch.
The temporary closure of the Landers Ugong branch starts from July 21 and ends on July 27, 2020. Sotto's post clarifies that the restaurant, barbershop, plant shop, pharmacy, and parking lot may remain open for business.
According to the mayor's post, Landers Superstore's management has reached out and expressed their intent to comply with the local government unit's encouragement to improve the establishment's health and safety protocols.
