There's more to Boracay than just Two Seasons' Four Cheese Pizza.

Have you booked a flight to Boracay for the holidays or for summer 2022? It's one of the most popular places people are visiting to get that much-deserved break after being quarantined at home since the pandemic started.

If you have yet to plan out your Boracay itinerary, we recommend squeezing in a trip to these restaurants you can find on the island:

Before you start the day's activities, you should fuel up with Sunny Side Café's breakfast items-after all, they do have the best pancakes on the island.

If you've already tried their bestselling Ube & Cereal Milk Pancakes, you should give their new Rose & Lychee Cream Pancakes a try! These pancakes have sweet and floral notes you will love. Pair your pancake order with the café's new Banana Milk Latte that has the flavors of banana, sweet caramel, and delicious coffee (from EDSA BDG, no less) in one ice-cold drink.

Sunny Side Café is located at Station 3 Beachfront, Boracay Sands Hotel, Boracay Island.

Nestled in the heart of Boracay is Conga's, a Thai restaurant that serves the best curry. The curry that looks extra appetizing is their Beef Massaman Curry which is known to be a fusion dish, an Indian-curry-meets-Thai-curry curry.

This curry is loaded with spices like cardamom and cinnamon that they mixed in with coconut milk to give it a creamy, deeply flavorful sauce. The fork-tender beef is topped with peanuts and herbs to give it more texture and color.

What's great about this Thai restaurant is that they can adjust the spiciness of the curry depending on your spice tolerance. They can even leave out the chili if you prefer it that way!

Congas is located at Bolabog, Road 1-A, Malay, Aklan. This is right beside St. Angelique Dental Clinic.

Maya's Boracay

Camille Morato, owner of The Pastry Cart, recently traveled to Boracay and she discovered the pure magic that is Maya's baked oysters. She highly recommends these cheesy baked oysters.

According to Morato, the restaurant serves these oysters "green, light, and so fresh" that she easily consumed the entire order in minutes. She adds, "I feel like they should have shellfish vendors or oyster bars on the island because these are now going to be my Boracay thing."

Mayas is located at Station 1, Balabag, Boracay Island.

Meze Wrap

A new restaurant that opened during the pandemic is Meze Wrap. According to Nowie Potenciano who stays in the island, you should visit the restaurant for their kebabs "which are punchy in flavor." The kebabs are available in chicken, beef, or tofu, so you have protein options to choose from.

Potenciano adds, "the fact that they [the restaurant is] still around shows that they are value-for-money." The Meze Wrap is also considered as one of the best cheap-eats in Boracay, with a Google Review of 4.9/5 and a Tripadvisor review of 5.5.

Meze Wrap is located at Station 2, Main Road, Balabag, Boracay Island. The establishment is across Lake Town.

Spicebird has always been known for their delicious chicken but since you're on the island, you might as well take advantage of the seafood! The restaurant boasts three crab dishes they recently added to the menu: Piri-Piri Crab, Curry Crab, and the Lime Leaf Crab.

Don't shy away from using your hands to dig in-it's the best way to get all those crab meat out! Just remember to disinfect or wash your hands beforehand.

Spicebird is located at Unit 1, Phase 3, D'Mall, Boracay Island.

Kolai Mangyan

Potenciano also recommends Kolai Mangyan for both frequent visitors or first-timer Boracay tourists. The restaurant's actually been open for a few years now.

He says, "If you're looking for down-home Filipino food, you've found the right place. But the star of the show is their fried chicken which tastes very similar (or should I say, maximally close) to a certain popular fried chicken chain's recipe."

Kolai Mangyan is located at Station 1, Main Road, Balabag, Boracay Island.

We're sure that you're going to go wild with all the food you're going to eat while you're on the island. If you want a break from all the meaty dishes and avoid pork, beef, or chicken (for at least one meal!), you can't go wrong with vegetarian dishes from Kasbah.

Kasbah is located at Station 1, White Beach, Boracay Island.
