These days, there's no shortage of restaurants and BBQ joints in Manila where you can get your Korean food fix. However, if you've ever taken a trip to Seoul (or if you watch your fair share of K-dramas), you'd know that some of the best eating experiences you'll have in South Korea are the ones you get while walking on the street. Handheld snacks you can eat on-the-go as you explore the city are an indispensable part of any trip to the land of kimchi and K-Pop. While you may not be able to travel to the busy walkways of Myeongdong or Dongdaemun at the moment, you can at least trick your taste buds into thinking you're there. Below, we round up some spots in and around the Metro where you can buy Korean street food.

Dogs and Dairies

A corndog is composed of a hotdog or sausage deep-fried in cornmeal batter. The Korean version of the treat is usually coated with breadcrumbs for extra crunch and contains melted cheese inside. Dogs and Dairies offers the snack with mozzarella cheese. You can choose to have it coated in breadcrumbs or, if you really feel like treating yourself, chopped potatoes. In Korea, the frenchy fry-coated treat is known as a Gamja hotdog.

K-Pops Korean Street Food

K-Pops' Korean treats are great for quick, fuss-free eating with skewered snacks like odeng (fried fish cake) and bite-sized treats like kimbap (Korean sushi roll) and gimmari (deep-fried seaweed spring rolls). Perfect to satisfy your midday Korean food cravings without having to prep a whole meal!

Sesame and You

You can order Sesame and You's Korean meals and snacks in small tubs good for two to three or in large platters enough for 10-15 depending on how many people you're feeding (or how big your craving is). They're perfect to munch on while you watch your fave K-Dramas at home!

Namna

What's on the menu: Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread (P380/four pieces)
Namna is just one of several spots where you can order Korean cheesy garlic bread, which is composed of composed of a soft, buttery bread (similar to brioche) bun stuffed with cream cheese and garlic. They're simple, but pretty addicting. Not to mention, they're a great snack for when the weather gets a little chilly.
