This Japanese Curry Is Made For Meat Lovers!

If you truly believe that the amount of meat on your plate directly affects how happy your mood is, then the words "meat on meat" will most likely whet your appetite. You better sharpen your chopstick skills and make enough room (you will definitely need it) for Yabu's new meaty Japanese curry: Kazuya Katsu Curry.

Can you spot the bits of meat floating in the Japanese curry sauce?

Kazuya Takeda, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-starred chef who runs Tonkatsu Takeshin in Tokyo, Japan is the mastermindbehind Yabu's new Kazuya Katsu Curry.  This curry is inspired by a region-specific kind of Japanese curry you can find in Kanazawa, the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture.

Kazuya's curry is distinct for it's thick, dark brown, and umami-packed sauce-it's not as sweet as the typical Japanese curry you can find elsewhere. What makes Yabu's Kazuya curry extra special is that it has bits of ground meat swimming in the flavorful curry sauce. You know the "sauce pa lang, ulam na!" saying? This curry embodies exactly just that.

The meat and flavors don't stop there. You actually need to order your main meat from Yabu's signature Katsu: Hire, Rosu, Menchi, Chicken, Hire Kurobuta, and Rosu Kurobuta. If you think this isn't filling enough when paired with rice, let us tell you this: you can have unlimited servings of rice and cabbage (best drizzled with the roasted sesame dressing), and fruits, too.

Yabu's Kazuya Katsu Curry is available at all Yabu branches located at SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM The Block, Alabang Town Center, Glorietta 2, Robinson's Magnolia, Robinson's Place Manila, Powerplant Mall, UP Town Center, SM Mall of Asia, Robinson's Galleria, Ayala Malls Vertis North, and Ayala Malls Feliz.
