Yes, Bizu Is Bringing Back Their Malagos Chocolate Macarons!

Did you know that March 23 is World Macaron Day ("Le Jour du Macaron")? Bizu Patisserie is celebrating this food holiday by bringing back their brightly-hued variety of macarons. Yes, their classic French macarons with a Filipino twist, the Malagos Chocolate, Ube, Durian, and Calamansi, are officially back for a month!

For those who haven't tried these special macarons yet, Malagos is an award-winning chocolate from Davao, which is sourced from heirloom cacao. Bizu incorporates this with their Malagos macarons by making the macarons ooze with a Malagos 65% dark chocolate ganache. Another Davao-inspired macaron is the bright green and yellow Durian, whose flavors come from a fruit that has a sweet and savory flesh.

Calamansi macaron shells + chocolate filling? Yes, please!

Ube is one of the things most Filipinos can't get enough of. If you're a huge ube fan, you should treat yourself to Bizu's Ube macarons that are made with Bohol's purple yam. But if you want to try something citrusy or tart, Bizu also has Calamansi macarons that are flavored with calamansi commonly found in Oriental Mindoro and other parts of the Philippines.
