Corned Beef and Bean Frittata

Make your favorite corned beef recipe taste even better by serving it with this delicious bean frittata side dish!


2 tablespoon oil

1 small white onion, peeled, chopped

2 cloves garlic, peeled, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 can (390 grams) Hunt's Pork and Beans, drained, (sauce set aside)

1/4 cup frozen green peas, thawed

1 cup kangkong leaves, roughly chopped

3 large eggs

¼ cup quick melting cheese, grated

Salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Dipping Sauce:

Hunt's Pork and Beans Sauce

¼ cup hoisin sauce

¼ teaspoon pepper 


1 In a small bowl, mix together Hunt's Pork and Beans sauce, hoisin sauce, and pepper. Set aside dipping sauce.

2 In a medium nonstick frying pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant. Add green peas and tomatoes. Cook until softened. Add Hunt's Pork and Beans and kangkong leaves, and stir to mix. Simmer until almost dry. Season with salt, and ground black pepper to taste.

3 In a large bowl, beat eggs. Pour over bean mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, until middle is almost set. With the help of a large plate, flip frittata and continue cooking until set. Sprinkle top with cheese, and cook until cheese is just melted. Serve while hot, sliced into wedges with dipping sauce.


String Beans with Pork and Beans

Serving grilled chicken tonight? Make it extra special with this cheesy bean gratin.


1/4 cup butter

1 small white onion, peeled, finely chopped

1/2 cup quick melting cheese, grated

1/8 cup Queso de Bola, freshly grated 

2 bundles string beans, cut into 1-inch lengths

1 can (390 grams) Hunt's Pork and Beans 

Salt and ground black pepper, to taste


1 Butter baking pan and spread pork and beans in a single layer. Melt butter in a large sauté pan over high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Toss in string beans. Season with salt and ground black pepper while tossing to coat. Remove from heat.

2 Transfer string beans to the serving dish with pork and beans.

3 Top with quick melting cheese and sprinkle with grated queso de bola. Place in an oven at 350°F until heated through and cheese has melted. Serve hot.
