Burger Bites in a Blanket

  • 1/2 kilo Beef use ground beef
  • 1/2 kilo pork use ground pork
  • 1 kilo bacon use honeycured bacon
  • 1/4 kilo carrot finely chopped
  • 1/4 kilo onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 kilo Garlic fresh and chopped finely
  • 2 large Egg
  • 2 cups cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

  • Mix all ingredients, except the bacon, in a big bowl.
  • Mold mixture into small meatballs about an inch in circumference.
  • Wrap each meatball completely with half a strip of bacon. Then push a toothpick thru to keep bacon in place.
  • Place finished “burger bites” in the refrigerator prior to cooking.
  • When ready to cook. Heat enough oil in a small pot that will fully submerge the meat completely for deep frying. Once small bubbles appear in the oil place 4 to 5 of the "bites" inside the pot.
  • Once the bacon turns golden brown get the meat and allow excess oil to drip on a strainer.
  • Serve hot as is or with your preferred dip. Best with steamed rice.
